Loading...Members of Trinity Church in Demopolis recently participated in the city's 42nd annual "Christmas on the River" festival day parade.
Trinity provided one of five new floats in this year's parade. The theme of Trinity's float was "Winter." The 'snow'-coveed float included a replica of histoic St. Andrew's Church in Prairieville, which is under Trinity's care. Trinity member Stanhope Brasfield, also one of the trustees of St. Andrew's, did the primary construction work on the church replica. Patricia Gaddy chaired the float construction committee.
Children from Trinity rode on the float, providing a living Nativity.
Trinity parishioner, Ben Sherrod, was the overall director of the parade. Among the other new floats this year were "Spring," "Summer," and "Fall" themed entries.
